I have been captivated by the haunting melodies of iona for some time now ,but would like to know if there is any way of getting hold of the sound track that was recorded for the B.B.C. for a wildlife documentary on the subject of the "ravens of snowdonia" I would be grateful of any info on the sound tracks and the possibilities of accuiring these tracks as ,if anyone else who has heard these ,they are so uplifting and peacefull .All the same iona has led me to enjoying other such similar groups and singers such as Enya ,Clannad and Secret Garden .long may you continue God bless Timmy

Thank you Iona, for producing some of the most beautiful and inspiring music in this world! I discovered Iona a few years ago with "Journey Into the Morn", since then I have tried to collect everything I can get my hands on by Iona! I am a die-hard progressive rock fan, and I especially love Iona's longer, more complex tracks, like "Encircling", "Man", "Bird of Heaven", etc. Thanks to Iona, and other newer bands such as Pendragon (if you love majestic music, check out Pendragon folks!), Cairo, Landmarq, Billy Sherwood, Janison Edge, & Jadis, truly EMOTIONAL music lives on!

I have been purchasing your CDs and listening to your music for years. I saw you in concert a few years ago in Frederisksburg, VA. I love the lyrics and the music. Even though I am a Minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) I generally find most Christian music shallow, overly sentimental, and even sappy. I find your music mystical, haunting, inviting, theologically sound, and ... awesome. Please come back to the Mid-Atlantic region of the US soon.

Hi to everyone Hope you are all well and inspired. Hope to see you all sometime this year Jill and I will try to get to one of the concerts. Sorry we could not do a concert in May as it clashed with the Bury St Edmunds Festival so no venues available. Perhaps you can make it later in the year? Keep up the good work. Jill and I have missed you clogging up our lounge!!!

My husband and I have loved your music since we discovered it 5 years ago. The Holy Spirit just floats on musical wings and it has ministered to us more than I can say. We have been involved in missions and have taken your music all over the world with us and blessed many. Please keep writing and ministering. You are operating with the annointing and that is not true of all christian musicians today

Dear Iona, I greatly love your music. You're the best musicians in the whole world. I'm looking forward to hear the next new album called: Open Sky. It will be released somewhere in April 2000. A few months ago I heard that the new album would be called: Hinba - Songs of Ascent. I would like to know why you changed it. By the way, the official website of Iona is called: http://www.iona.uk.com. The concert Iona gave in the Netherlands september 1999 was absolutely fantastic. I've been there with some friends and we had a great time there. They also played a new piece called 7/4, I really loved it, and I heard it will be one of the songs on the new album. Iona, you're my favourite, greetings and God's blessings

Iona - I have loved your music for years and traveled with it and used it in worship in Italy where we lived and now in the States where we lead worship. We are recording Chi Rho on a small church production. Who do I talk to about permission for use? We have all your recordings accept Woven Cord and the solo projects. Blessings and prayers going your way.

Dear Iona, Your music is brilliant! Some songs that really fascinate me are: Chi-Rho, Inside My Heart, Lindisfarne and Reels. Since I was converted to Christian faith, I became very sensitive for the spiritual output an artist puts in his work. Your music is very full of the Holy Spirit! Last week I purchased Woven Cord and I like it very much. I'm really looing forward to your next release. May God bless you all! John

I've been listening to your music for several years now; it's a good thing that CDs last longer than tapes. I wore out my first tapes of your music. I'm trying to find Christian Celtic designs to incorporate into T-shirts, etc. If someone has some, I'd be glad to collaborate on printing, etc. as long as it's understood that profit is not the motive. I want to do some designs that glorify our Lord and would be an instrument of his peace.

Hello Iona! I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your music. I first listened to The Book Of Kells in college a few years ago. I have since purchased Beyond These Shores, Journey Into the Morn and received Heaven's Bright Sun as a birthday gift. I especially enjoy the song "Beyond These Shores" I once read an article about the voyage of Brendan in an old National Geographic and have been intrigued ever since. I apprectiate your ministry through music and look forward to each new album you create.

Joanne, Just wrote to say thanks for lending your voice to the ending of the video game Xenogears. I forgot the name of the song, but it was nice and it served to make the completion of the 90-hour quest all worthwhile. Again, thanks!

Hi IONA! As a longtime fan, I credit you as His instrument for getting me back into music and on track spiritually in many ways. At your show in McClean, Virginia a coupla years ago, I met an old friend, Teresa, and we decided to start playing together. Our band is now starting to carve a niche in the DC area and we have a CD available! I'm continuously inspired by your work. I also am enjoying the various solo albums of Joanne's, Troy's and David's (Bainbridge & Fitz.) Feel free to check out our website for "Teresa & the Welldiggers". I hope you can return soon - We miss you live. Perhaps we can do a musical exchange - A concert together in the States and another in my favoured Ireland! Peace & Love, Rick

I just wanted to say that buying my first Iona cd (Journey Into the Morn was the only one they had) was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. I love the band and the music (I now own a copy of "Beyond These Shores" and I just got "The Book of Kells") is incredible! I'd also like to encourage the members of the band (if by some insane chance they read this guest book) to keep going in God and to keep going with their music (and do a concert series in America!!!) God bless the band and all who enjoy their music.

I come back from a journey in London. I will say it was a very special journey there as well as 29th of may 1999 was a special day for you. I really loved being at The Royal Festival Hall for your concert. It was also very nice to meet eveyone of you. It's for me very encouraging to meet such professional and talented artists who are so humbled and accessible. It really changes of the artists I am used to work with in the show business here in France. I hope that my project will work and that you could come to Paris next year for another special concert. May the Lord keeps blessing each of you in the way He only can do it.

Hello to all. I am so jolly that I found a place to purchase "Book of Kells". I could not find it anywhere! (I even went to the Book of Kells at Trinity college in Dublin, Ireland, but they had been sold out of it for a while. I am a musician/writer. Music I listen to are many different types, great musicianship, writing, but the main thing always comes back to the whole feel of it. This band (Iona) is incredible. I have friends and family that are into very different styles of music, from Anne Murry to Metallica, but they have all been held for a while as I asked them to give a listen. Now there are a bunch more fans. (is that proper English?!) To the band, thank you. To the fans- Hello! :O) Some others to give a listen to: Marillion (1989 album til present) The Sundays-(another beautiful voice) Peter Gabriel. The Wishing Tree (album w/guitarist from Marillion sounds a lot like Iona. You could prob. get "The Wishing Tree" from some Marillion page. Has a female singer as well. Well, thanks to whomever made this page. A big hug to everyone.- Eric

I am truely blessed by your music and lyrics. Much of today's contemporary christian music seems bland, superficial, and uninspiring. Your music is unique, uplifting, creative, engaging, progressive; and Anointed of God! I look forward to your next release with eager anticipation. May God continue to richly bless you all.

Wow. That's all I have to say. The first song I heard by you guys was "Treasure". It fascinated me that a group used direct lines from the Bible. Since that time my collection of your music has grown immensely. I can't say as I have a favorite album, but I can tell you my favorite experiences come from listening to your music. When I close my eyes and listen to the "Book of Kells", I feel as if I am standing in the Lord's presence. My eyes always brim with tears as I think of His face and loving arms. I can almost feel the sand squishing between my toes when I hear "Lindsfarne". I want you to know that whenever I need to feel the Lord's presence, I put in your albums and revel in the words, the feelings and the Holy Spirit Himself. You have made me want to see the Book of Kells and journey to Iona. It is one of the biggest goals of my life and I am working and putting money aside to do it. I don't play any of the awesome instruments you guys play or sing with a gorgeous voice and I doubt that I'll ever meet you up close and personal like. I may never even see you in concert. But I pray that we will meet in heaven and sing around God's throne together. Don't give up the gift the Father has given you. You have touched me more than you'll ever know. You've helped shape my Christian faith. My walk down the straight and narrow is full of joy, inspiration and enlightenment because of you. Thank you and God bless all of you. I pray for you daily. Always, Paula...

The first time I heard "Kells" I was an instant Iona fan. I have been to both of their appearances in Virginia Beach, and although the first was not a hugh success in numbers, it was undoubtedly the best concert I had ever attended. It excites me to see that quality of music dedicated to Jesus Christ, His work and His glory. I eagerly look forward to future musical adventures on the Isle of Iona
