E' finalmente disponibile il nuovo CD di Edwin Hawkins contenente i brani eseguiti dal vivo nel corso del tour europeo del '97. Il disco prodotto dallo stesso Hawkins e Carl Wheeler, contiene fra l'altro la nuova versione di Oh Happy Day, Child of the King, Another day e un medley Praise and Worship. 23 Mar 1998 - Flevo Festival '98
The largest European christian music festival, Flevo '98, will be held from the 20th until the 23rd of August. The location is not reveiled to us yet, but it will be announced soon. This year's theme is: Homerun (Let's play ball). The following artists have already been booked: All Star United (US), Beam (NL), Miss Angie (US), Delirious? (UK), The Gospel Project (NL), Raze (US), JC Culture (SA), Five Iron Frenzie (US), Guardian (US), Darrell Mansfield (US), The Echoing Green (US) and Colorplay! (NL). Check the festival's website.

23 Mar 1998 - Petra new CD 'God Fixation'
As the first complete album with the new members Lonnie Chapin, Kevin Brandow and Pete Orta, this is a truly new Petra project. Sound-wise, God Fixation might be put next to albums like 'Wake Up Call'. Opening strong with If I Ever Had To Die For Someone, God Fixation ranges from pop-rock in Falling Up to fast rockin' tunes like the title song. There's a greater emphasis on the vocals then ever before, it seems, with the most notable songs being Hello Again and the acoustic Shadow Of A Doubt. Source: Spoor 7.

A preliminary list of people we expect to be at Greenbelt #25, 28-31 August 98. Grammy award winners Jars of Clay will be performing and Mike Scott (remember the waterboys) will be there this year it seems. Dal 9 al 13 Aprile é l'ora dell'Easter Festival a Terni. I concerti si svolgeranno al Teatro Politeama (a pagamento) e in alcune chiese della città (gratuiti). 15 Mar 1998 - Continentals Italiani
Dopo il successo del primo tour dello scorso Agosto e l'uscita del primo CD 'Da ora in poi', i Continentals Italiani si stanno preparando alla registrazione di un nuovo CD. 11 Mar 1998 - Larry Norman back in Europe
The 'father of contemporary christian music' LARRY NORMAN will do a short tour of Holland early May. Supported by debuting Dutch band BEAM, Norman will visit a handful of cities and play acoustic and with Beam as backing-band. Larry will probably play new material as well from an as-yet untitled new disc that is wrapped up as we write. Source: Spoor 7.

La rivista "Contemporary Christian Music" ha incoronato Kirk Franklin come più grande artista di tutti i tempi - o, perlomeno, come il più venduto. Nella classifica dei 15 dischi più venduti di sempre nel genere "Christian albums", ci sono quattro sue incisioni. 2 Feb 1998 - Profiles Jubilee Festivals
Last weekend, the 3 Profiles Jubilee Festivals took place in Switzerland (Payerne, Lugano and Zurich) with Albino Montisci & band, Carlos Martinez, Bryn Haworth & band, Justo Almario & Abraham Laboriel. Under the theme Celebrating 20 years of Friendship, celebrating longterm, trustful relationships and friendships between musicians, promoters, audiences and production-crews, 1700 people attended to the festivals.
Lo scorso weekend, i 3 Profiles Jubilee Festivals si sono svolti in Svizzera (Payerne, Lugano e Zurigo) con with Albino Montisci & band, Carlos Martinez, Bryn Haworth & band, Justo Almario & Abraham Laboriel. Col tema Celebrando 20 anni di amicizia, a sottolineare lunghe e fedeli relazioni di conoscenza e amicizia tra musicisti, promoters e spettatori, 1700 persone hanno assistito ai tre eventi.

14 Jan 1998 - Nominees Announced For Grammy Awards
Nominations for the 40th annual Grammy Awards were announced Jan. 6 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. The awards will be presented Feb. 25 during a live telecast over the CBS network, to an international viewing audience of over 1.5 billion in 190 countries. Some 460 nominations in 92 categories were announced, including a number involving the Christian music industry. Gospel artist and producer Kirk Franklin received four Grammy nominations.
