Fiori nelle mani (Flowers in your hands) is a
collection of 11 songs
united by a common denominator. "I attempted to explore
the relationship between father and son," De Chirico
explains, "I felt the need to leave my children a sort of
testament. What I hope for their lives is that, when it
comes time for them to harvest what they've diligently
planted, they might end up with a handful of sweet-smelling,
colorful flowers. Amidst the struggles of daily life, the
"flowers in our hands" represent happiness and gratification.
This is what I hope my children will find."
Many of the lyrics stimulate
the listener to consider the condition of modern man, who
continuously finds himself face to face with the problems
caused by a society that lacks direction and straight answers.
Fiori nelle mani is like a road sign, an arrow
pointing upward towards heaven, where Giuseppe De Chirico
finds the answers to many of life's questions.
