Francamente il mix mi sembra ben riuscito e la prova maggiore e' il successo unanime dei nostri concerti. Vorrei comunicare agli amanti del genere che in questo periodo stiamo girando un po' per l'Italia anche se non molto lontano da Roma. Sabato scorso, il 14 marzo, abbiamo cantato all'abbazia di Casamari (FR), sabato 21 Marzo saremo, alle ore 21.00, a Marino (RM), nella chiesa di San Barnaba e sabato 4 Aprile canteremo, sempre alle 21.00, a Spoleto (PG) al Teatro Nuovo. In another occasion I presented our choir to the webmaster. Milito nella Gospel music ormai da molti anni, direi per la precisione 15, e frequento la chiesa fin da piccolo ( scuola domenicale compresa, tra l'altro molto utile poi, quando per un periodo di due anni sono stato lontano dalla chiesa le storie bibliche, i canti che avevo ascoltato da piccolo mi hanno aiutato a venire fuori da quel periodo "c'e' anche stato un incidente in moto" ma non voglio dilungarmi, magari piu' avanti ne parlero' ). Purtroppo nella mia chiesa non sono riuscito a inserirmi nel gruppo che guidava la lode, non so spiegarvi bene i motivi, forse qualche pregiudizio nei miei confronti perche volevo fare le cose fatte bene. Qualcuno sosteneva che: "devono cantare tutti, e che andare a studiare serve ma non e' utile ai fini della lode, quello che serve e' la consacrazione". Mentre invece leggendo i vari messaggi ho visto che siamo tutti concordi nell'affermare che i due requisiti possono convivere insieme. Io ho iniziato suonando con Giuseppe de Chirico, passando poi ad Albino Montisci dove ho militato per 11 anni, Rediscovery, ecc.ecc. direi che ho preso parte alle piu' grandi manifestazioni sia Europee che Italiane, e anche alle piccole cose in piazza, in chiese, convegni ecc.ecc. In questi anni il problema maggiore che ho riscontrato e' la mancanza di unita'. E' vero quello che dice Giorgio: >Quando poi viene il momento di agire, non c'e' mai nessuno intorno! >Se hai voglia di vedere qualcosa cambiare nella tua chiesa o nel tuo >gruppo, allora comincia tu stesso a darti da fare per portare questo >cambiamento ed investi le risorse e le energie che hai per dare il tuo >meglio, magari rinunciando ad altri tuoi interessi e vedrai che risultati! I've appreciated very much what has been said 'till now; I just wanted to give my contribution, not so much from a doctrinal point of view but more from the "lived out" - experience directly from the batlle fields. I'm working in the Gospel music field since many years, to be precise 15, and I belong to a Church since I was a child (Sunday School included, that actually turned out to be very useful when I had to stay away from the church for 2 years. Those Bible stories and the songs I had learned when I was young helped me to come out of a period titled "There was a motorbike accident", but I don't want to be too long, maybe one day I'll talk about it). Unfortunately in my Church I was never able to fit in the worship group, I cannot exactly explain the reason, maybe a few prejudices towards me because I wanted things to be well done. Someone said: "everybody has to sing," and that "studying was useful but not for worship, for that, all it took was dedication". But reading all these messages I noticed that we all agree on the fact that both realities can co-exist. I started to play with Giuseppe De Chirico, then with Albino Montisci for 11 years, Rediscovery, etc.I can say I've taken part to the biggest music events in Europe and Italy, and also to those little ones in squares, churches, conferences, etc. In these years the main problem has been the lack of unity. What Giorgio said is true: >When the moment comes to act, nobody is ever around! If you want something >to change in your church, or in your group, then start yourself to make this >change, invest your resources and your energy to give your best, maybe giving >up some others interests you have. You'll see the results! I strongly believe in the power of unity and in the change of every individual, and I really hope that Musictsnews will contribute to all this.
