Giuseppina Manin Al Nord li chiamano "cantautori di Dio", al Sud "'na croce e 'na chitarra". In tutto sono un migliaio, gorgheggiano di Dio, della Madonna, dei Santi. Ma anche di valori spirituali e sociali, di aborto e di droga. Impazzano nelle parrocchie, nei centri cattolici, nelle processioni, nei meeting religiosi. Ma al momento buono, sabato al concertone eucaristico di Bologna, papa benedicente, non ci saranno. Per la semplice ragione che nessuno li ha invitati. "Hope music", neonata associazione dei vescovi per rilanciare la presenza della Chiesa nel mondo dei giovani, ha occupato l'intera scena lasciando fuori, come dice con amarezza suor Anna Maria Galliano, responsabile della parte musicale delle Edizioni Paoline, "chi da anni opera attivamente nel campo della musica dei giovani e per i giovani al servizio del messaggio cristiano". Tra i piu' "arrabbiati" Giuseppe Cionfoli, il frate che aveva sorpreso Sanremo. Nonostante il cd dedicato al Papa "Per Cristo, con Cristo, in Cristo", anche lui non ha ricevuto la "chiamata". ="E' curioso - commenta - se io canto mi tirano le pietre, ma se loro propongono adunate rock va tutto bene. L'unico coerente e' Zucchero: avete sempre detto che il rock e' lo strumento del diavolo e ora, perche' lo organizzate voi, diventa santo... E cosi' si fanno ponti d'oro a un comunista doc come Dylan, a un divorziato come Morandi, a uno dai dubbi costumi come Dalla. Quel miliardo per Dylan non sarebbe stato meglio speso per i poveri di Madre Teresa? Il sospetto e' che il diavolo ci abbia messo davvero la coda, che "Hope music" sia un'associazione a delinquere, nata per far soldi e catturare un po' di giovani a una Chiesa poco frequentata. Ma tra tanto baccano e rock star, in quanti troveranno sabato il tempo per la preghiera?" Scontento anche Roberto Bignoli, gettonatissimo dai microfoni di radio Maria con "Ho visto la croce", cantautore di "Magnificat", associazione che fa capo a don Mario Migliarese, prete canterino calabrese con grande seguito. "Abbiamo cantato al Multifestival, insieme a gruppi religiosi di tutto il mondo, a Parigi, durante la kermesse per il Papa, siamo stati presenti con tre concerti. Io personalmente ho pubblicato 5 album e 15 compilation. Eppure se andremo a Bologna sara' solo come spettatori". Esclusi anche Giosy Cento, il primo prete cantautore in Italia, Michele Paulicelli (laico) cantautore attore, co-autore della commedia musicale "Forza venite gente" e di altre come "Cristo 2000" e "Angeli". E ancora Marcello Marrocchi (laico) 4 album con le Paoline, il piu' venduto "Caino chi e'". Non si da' pace Gianni Rugginenti editore di "Rusty Record", sede a Milano in via Cuore Immacolato di Maria, 300 dischi in catalogo, una linea di musica sacra. I cavalli di razza della sua scuderia si chiamano don Pierangelo Sequeri, don Marco Frisina, don Stefano Varnava'. "Quella di Bologna e' una colossale dimenticanza. Si e' puntato sui nomi celebri, sul business e si e' dimenticato chi fa musica tenendo conto dei valori spirituali. La Chiesa ha scoperto, con 30 anni di ritardo, il rock. Un'operazione che mi ricorda quella dei giornali, che mettono i gadget per vendere di piu'. Il concerto di sabato non puo' che lasciar indifferente il cattolico vero. When you expect to get a reply from people you gotta keep on tryin'. Well, my name is Alessia and I love Christian music. Not every music style matches my personal taste, but I do like to keep my ears open for new stuff. Just lately I discovered I like Susan Ashton very much. I also like Yolanda Adams, especially in her album "Save the world". I wasn't used to listen to much female singers anymore, I guess I had got a little tired of them. But I enjoy their music and their voices so much now, that I put their albums on even in the pub where I work. Right at the moment I'm listening to Ralph Van Mannen latest album live. Not bad at all, maybe also because a person that I know plays in it. I must say though, that my favorite album for this year has been Michael W. Smith's "I'll lead you home". I think that after some years he and Mr. Kirkpatrick have come out with some really good lyrics and music. Well, it's 2:19 a.m., (it's the only time of the day - or night! - when I can work on the computer), and at least I' glad I've aswered to your message. But, I tell you, at least here in Italy, most people have no idea, almost of christian music. So, I find it very hard to find some one to talk about it with. E io non sono uno facile alle emozioni". Adriano Celentano il giorno dopo lo storico concerto bolognese con cui il Vaticano ha aperto al rock dice che "c'e' stato anche un imprevisto". Quale? "Dopo aver cantato ho guardato verso il Papa che m'ha fatto un cenno di saluto. Sbagliavo. Voleva dirmi: "Vieni qua a salutarmi". Me l'ha spiegato dietro le quinte un prelato. "Guardi che ha capito male" gli ho risposto. Non sapevo come comportarmi. Lui ha insistito e ho fatto quei cinque scalini verso il Papa. Mi sono inginocchiato per baciargli la mano. Lui mi ha abbracciato forte, un'emozione incredibile. Ho avuto la sensazione di un grande padre. Stanco. Ma la sua grandezza va oltre la stanchezza fisica". Vi siete parlati? "Gli ho sussurrato all'orecchio: "Ti voglio bene". Mi e' venuto spontaneo dargli del tu. Lui ha sorriso e l'ho stretto anch'io tra le braccia". Con il concerto la Chiesa ha voluto dire che la fede non dev'essere recintata nell'intimita' delle coscienze? "Certo perche' Gesu' e' ovunque, tocca falegnami e industriali, sportivi e cantanti, giusti e peccatori". Il Vaticano ci ha messo 40 anni per scoprire il rock. "Se c'e' una cosa in cui il Vaticano e' in ritardo, e' nel non esaltare il lato allegro e gioioso di Dio, che e' la cosa principale. Cosi' facendo hanno prestato il fianco al miserabile rock satanico". Quando ha scoperto la fede? "In genere le fede arriva in un momento di disperazione. A me e' successo il contrario. A 25 anni ero innamorato di Claudia, che avrei sposato l'anno dopo. Avevo successo, denaro. Un giorno avvertii la necessita' di ringraziare qualcuno: Gesu'. Non sapevo nulla di lui. Ho cominciato a leggere e a informarmi e ancora adesso appena leggo la parola Gesu' su un giornale, divoro tutto". Frate Cionfoli e altri cantanti di Dio protestano per l'esclusione dalla serata: ma l'arte nasce dalla sofferenza dei "dannati" piu' che la quiete degli angeli. "Quello che traspare da frate Cionfoli, dal poco che si e' visto, e' un segnale debole, non e' una figura spiritualmente solida. Hanno fatto bene a lasciarlo a casa. Quanto ai dannati, la loro diserzione alla veglia ne riflette in pieno la debolezza. Temevano di perdere la loro falsa trasgressivita' di fronte ai loro fans che, da oggi, si accorgeranno quanto sono "zoppi" i loro idoli. I nomi? Non c'e' bisogno, ognuno di loro sa che parlo di lui". I veri idoli dei giovani sono i Prodigy, gli U2... "Beh, a Bologna c'erano 400 mila giovani. E comunque il vero leader, anche se ci fossero stati Elvis Presley e Frank Sinatra, era il Papa. Certo potevano animare il dibattito invitando anche i Prodigy. Un passo alla volta. Ma nel cast non eravamo mica tutti soldati di Dio!". Il discorsetto su Dio se l'era preparato? "No. Ci ho pensato un momento prima, guardando i volti della marea umana che avevo davanti. Dio non e' quel terribile vecchio pronto a castigare secondo la sua giustizia ma l'eterno giovane, come un giorno lo saremo anche noi quando saremo nel Regno dei cieli". Celentano, ha avuto momenti di polemica dura prima di accettare: non solo con la Rai per via del contenzioso legato al rinvio del suo nuovo programma, anche con la curia. "Monsignor Vecchi e' simpatico, forse proprio per questo l'ho martellato un po' con i fax sul "Corriere". Ci siamo chiariti. "E' stata la Divina Provvidenza" ha detto". C'e' una persona che manderebbe all'Inferno? "La strada dell'Inferno e' difficile trovarla. Al Purgatorio manderei questa Rai. Inabile, incompetente e socialmente invalida. Se penso alla mia vicenda... Non hanno la minima idea di come mandare avanti la barca. I have all of her CDs right now.. except for her greatest hits CD. I think her newest one is musically the best but spiritually the weakest, but still a fine album. So what access do you have to Christian music there in Italy? Do you want help getting Christian music? I could help if you like. I buy and sell CDs all the time as a hobby, and am always shipping music somewhere. I often trade CDs, too. I even videotape Christian music videos from American Television, but most of Europe needs to have a VCR with the American NTSC standard to play them back If I can help, just ask! Inutile dire che mi sono precipitata a leggere l'articolo! Eccovi una pillola del "Lorenzo pensiero": "Il rock? Non e' ne' diabolico ne' santo, e sicuramente non e' cattolico. La religione, per definizione, e' qualcosa che ti lega, che pone dei limiti. Il rock, invece, e' ricerca continua di rottura di ogni tipo di limite. Con il mega concerto di Bologna, la Chiesa ha dimostrato la paura di perdere il consenso dei giovani. E questa paura e' tipica del potere. Io credo che al Vangelo il rock non serva a niente. E' il potere che ha bisogno del rock. Siccome a me il potere non interessa, non lo vado a celebrare." Direi che ci da' qualche buono spunto per una discussione, voi cosa ne pensate delle sue definizioni di rock e di religione? Il rock serve al Vangelo oppure no? Aspetto le vostre riflessioni. Personalmente il brano che ho apprezzato di piu' e' stato quello di Petrucciani, probabilmente il musicista piu' colto della serata, che di rock avra' sentito parlare, forse. Bob Dylan e' un cantautore, in veste country. Dalla pure, con venature jazz. Morandi non l'ho sentito ... Bocelli. Bocelli eh si deve essere stato lui il rockettaro della serata. "Vincero'" ricorda i testi degli Iron Maiden.. :-)))) Secondo me c'e' stata una netta contrapposizione, piacevole anche esteticamente, tra la nebbiosita' e la confusione verbale e mentale di chi ha cantato e suonato e le parole del signore vestito di bianco che con un sorriso ha detto "mi chiedete qual'e' la via, quante strade deve percorrere un uomo. Vi dico che la strada e' una: GESU' ha detto IO SONO LA VIA, LA VERITA' e LA VITA." E' stato fin troppo facile demolire con poche parole i miti popolari della canzone. Sarebbe stato ben piu' impegnativo smontare uno come Jovanotti che su certe questioni ci medita e arriva a soluzioni poco ortodosse ma interessanti perche' frutto di una esperienza personale che e' autentica. GESU' VIVE, ma a Bologna erano in pochi ad alzare la voce per testimoniarlo. Simon P. E' un gospel, uno spirituals o cos'altro? E che differenza c'e' fra un gospel ed uno spirituals? Forse ho fatto un po' troppe domande, ma se qualcuno mi puo' aiutare, anche consigliandomi qualche testo in materia, sarei veramente felice. Io dirigo un coro (assieme ad altre due persone) che si chiama Universa Laus e per Natale solitamente includiamo nel nostro repertorio anche Oh Happy Day. Il nostro coro si propone di spiegare alla gente quanto importante sia far partecipare l'assemblea al canto durante la Liturgia, spiegando la differenza che passa tra un canto che si esegue all'inizio della celebrazione con un canto che si esegue alla Comunione basandoci sul documento Musicam Sacram.
