In my opinion I would rate Iona with a 10 or darn near it for JITM, which is near perfect IMO. The other albums I would not rate as highly, perhaps 9.5 for Book of Kells and HBS, 9 for BTS and 8.5 for Iona. Likewise for other bands....Genesis I would give a 9 or 10 for a number of their albums, the eponymous yellow album, Wind and Wuthering and Trick of the tail, but others are definitely weaker, including their latest. Same for Rush and Renaissance, two bands that Dennis mentioned. I think Rush peaked about 8 years ago and I don't care for anything since "Presto". Renaissance started sliding downhill after Novella in my opinion. Of course a good band's mediocre album is often still better than a mediocre band's normal album. With respect to promoting Iona, some artists don't tour and yet are commercially very successful...Enya for example. So it can be done. Hesays when he hears sax all he can imagine is Sweep from Sooty & Sweep operah singing. Nor many of you won't know who Sooty & Sweep are. They are two glove puppets that have been in showbuisness since the fifties.
