The website is called The Unofficial Dutch Iona Website, and the address is http://iona.freeservers.com . This is the new version of the site at geocities, but at freeservers I got a much easier address so I've changed of server. I've added some new things to the site. These new things are "The Friends of Iona Webring" and an Iona Forum. The Friends of Iona Webring is a webring of fans of Iona. If you want to join the webring, click on the join button of the Webring Graphic on my website. The Iona Forum is like this mailinglist, but it is not working with email, but you can login on the server and read and send messages over there. You can visit this forum by clicking on the Iona Forum button in the menu of my website. As you will notice a lot of pages don't contain any info, I'm very busy at the moment, and I don't have enough material at the moment to fill these pages. I'll ask you to help me to fill these empty pages, I'm thinking about info about the band members, a biography, maybe multimedia files etc. Please mail me for usefull stuff. It is not my intention to be a competing site to yours, It's more a tribute from the Dutch Iona fans to Iona. The site has been put on Geocities for more than a year ago, but now I expanded & improved the site and transferred it to Freeservers. From the beginning there has been a Link to your page, and I've recommended a lot of friends to join the Iona Newsletter, because there are a lot of interesting subjects at it. One of the reasons for putting my website on the net is that I thought it was a good idea to make a Website, where all Iona fans (but most of all Dutch Fans) can contribute with their info, files etc. so that it becomes a website from Iona fans for Iona fans. Recently I also was inspired by the fact that a Dutch drummer, Frank van Essen, joined the band. Here in Holland we're all very proud that a Dutchmen joined Iona. Because of that proud I've received positive reactions from Dutch fans, who are happy that there is a site where they can contribute to let the world now that there's a Dutch drummer in the Best Gospelband of the world. The reason that I send a message to the mailing list is that I have worked a very long time at the website, and I was so proud of the result (although I have to do a lot of work) that I wanted to show it to whole the world, but most of all to Iona fans. The best way to reach those fans is by the newsletter, because every selfrespecting Iona fan is a member of that list. You're mailinglist is the No. 1 newssource about Iona, and you'll get my compliments for that, I never want to change the status of your list. I also ask all listmember to keep sending messages to the list, so that it stay the one and only Iona mailinglist. I'll promise to never again advertise through your mailinglist again. Although it's a Dutch website, all text is written in English, so that everything on the internet can share read the information, and not alone the Dutch (and Belgium) fans. Maybe we can talk about the possibilities of working together as you mentioned, it may be a good idea to work together, and I don't mean the two of us, buth a group of Iona fans. I'm also sorry that I send a message in dutch, but as I explained in the header it was just interesting for dutch fans. There are plans for distributing a Dutch versions of the Friends of Iona Newsletter, but there are not enough Dutch members at the moment, so I asked everybody who is interested in a Dutch newsletter, to become a member of the English newsletter. At the moment I wrote the message I could not find the words in English, otherwise I had written everything in English. I forget to tell that you can find information about becoming a member of The Friends of Iona Newsletter at the Official Iona Website at the merchandise section.
