After the successful outcome of Asti-Gospel '94 and Asti-Gospel '95,
Associazione Musictus, together with its sponsors, is proud to introduce
the third edition of the ASTI GOSPEL festival, which will take place on
December 20th at Teatro Politeama, via Ospedale 16, in Asti, Italy.
ASTI GOSPEL '96 will be a unique occasion for Italians to listen to Edwin Hawkins, the famous American gospel singer, well-known in the whole world
for being the author of 'O happy day', which sold over seven million copies
and won the Grammy Award. Edwin Hawkins will be accompanied by Kevin Bond,
on piano, and by a fantastic gospel choir of thirty people.
The other artists on stage at ASTI GOSPEL '96 will be:
Tom Lane, jr. (USA), singer-songwriter, with his most recent repertory,
Giuseppe De Chirico (Italy) who will perform a few songs from his recent cd
'Fiori nelle mani', and the promising quartet, Gospel Sound (Italy) with
songs from the album 'Gente senza eta'/Ageless people'.
